Our tours, like our clients, are unique.
I do not have a list of tours for you to
choose. You create your tour based on your wishes and preferences together with me.
For example: recently I've provided a French gentleman with his 15 year old son a
graffiti tour in Harlem, "Alphabet City" in lower Manhattan, and the south Bronx; I toured
a gentleman from London who wanted to visit Police Stations and Firehouses, a family from
Texas who wanted to tour Coney Island in Brooklyn, I've attended Baptist Church Services
in Harlem's largest church and then enjoyed a delicious brunch where Bill Clinton dines!
Many of our clients want to see the more familiar sites: The Empire State Building,
The Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Terminal, The Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, Wall
Street, Central Park, Ellis Island, and so forth. I accommodate your interests and
together we plan your tour in a way that provides maximum use of your time, based
on your schedule and time frame.
Furthermore, I go beyond the facts that public tours are known for. I'll provide
you with stories that will peak your interest, stimulates questions, excite,
entertain, amaze and amuse you. You'll not listen to a lecture rather you'll
be enthralled with a tour whose focus is on you! Take stories and tales home
with you about New York City wishing that you had taken notes (some actually
do!). So, "put on your seatbelt" and enjoy a tour to remember telling your friends
back home of the highlight of your visit to the world's most spectacular city! Ask yourself: Do you want a lecture with a large group of people that you may find distracting, using their cell phones, chatting and interrupting the public guide disabling your ability to hear information that you have taken your valuable time to learn? Wouldn't you prefer a private tour that places the focus on you and your group that focuses on your interests, uninterrupted, in a conversational way!
At the beginning of every tour you are asked, what are your "must see" places and areas of interest; such as history, architecture, ethnic composition and trends, in what direction is New York City headed, what are the limitations of New York City's growth, how did the crime rate drop so dramatically, what are the political preferences of New Yorkers, tell us about the subways, its size, facts and figures, who were the people who had the greatest influence in creating this city, etc. etc.
As questions that you want answers to instead of hearing questions and answers on a public tour that you may know or have no interest in hearing. Isn't that a waste of your time?
